Alan has a wealth of leadership experience accumulated during the past twenty five years and has an impressive record of measurable achievement at Board and senior management level.

Alan is commercially and financially astute with experience in the management and overview of complex capital and revenue budgets.

In the private sector Alan was previously the Chief Executive of BP D’Arcy Development Ltd formerly one of the UK’s largest corporate sponsored economic regeneration projects.

In the public sector Alan is an independent advisor to the Welsh Government and the Anglesey Energy Island Programme Management Board.

In the community / voluntary sector Alan is a parent governor of Bassaleg Secondary School and previously a shadow board member of the former proposed Castell Mynydd, Community Mutual Housing Association.  In his early career Alan was a non executive director of the People and Work Unit and Foothold Youth Enterprise Agency (both companies limited by guarantee).

Alan aims to develop a collaborative style of working built around listening to others and asking questions. Alan understands the difference between an executive and non executive role and is confident in putting forward his views, providing ideas, challenging issues, and making decisions.
